2PC Setup Explained: Vanguard Emulator and Hanbot

What a two-PC setup is, why keeping the script off the gaming machine changes what Vanguard can see, what you need before you buy, and how the Vanguard Emulator and Hanbot fit together.

Most cheats run on the same computer as the game. That is convenient, and it is also the problem: an anti-cheat with kernel access, like Riot Vanguard, can inspect the machine it is installed on. A two-PC setup, usually written 2PC, takes the other road. The game runs on one computer and the script is handled from another.

The idea

Vanguard examines the PC the game runs on: its drivers, its memory, its running processes. It cannot examine a different computer. In a 2PC arrangement your main PC runs League of Legends, and a second PC does the work that would otherwise be done next to the game.

The Vanguard Emulator is the product that provides this arrangement. Hanbot LoL Script is built to run on it, and its product page is plain about the dependency: Hanbot must be paired with the emulator, and using it without the emulator will result in a ban.

What you need

  • A main PC that runs the game, on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • A second PC or laptop. It does not run the game, so it does not need to be powerful.
  • A Vanguard Emulator key, and a key for the script you will run on it.

Check the product pages before buying for the current requirements. If you are not sure that your second machine is suitable, ask support first; it costs nothing to ask and a key cannot be returned once it has been revealed.

What it costs

The emulator is $50 for 7 days, $100 for 30 days or $300 for lifetime. Hanbot is $5 for a day or $45 for 30 days. A month of both is $145. If you expect to use the setup for a long time, the lifetime emulator key pays for itself in three months.

What else the emulator works with

Its product page lists Hanbot, BGX, RTX, LS and Lyn among the tools that can run on it. The emulator is the base; the script on top of it is a separate choice. The page also lists HWID ban removal, including the VAN 152 error — see our VAN 152 article for what that error means.

Is 2PC worth it?

It depends on what you already have.

  • If you own a spare laptop, 2PC costs you the emulator and a little setup time.
  • If you would have to buy a second computer, a single-PC option costs far less. Covert LoL Script needs nothing else, and PV LoL Script needs only the Vanguard Bypass.

Our comparison of the three scripts puts the monthly costs side by side.

Staying safe on 2PC

A second computer changes what the anti-cheat can see. It does not change what other players can see. Inhuman play gets reported on any setup, so the usual rules apply: believable settings, no streaming with an overlay visible, and no playing while the status page shows a product as updating. And no arrangement is permanent — when Riot changes Vanguard, the emulator has to be updated to match, and until it is, you wait.

Summary

2PC moves the script off the machine Vanguard inspects. It needs a second computer and the Vanguard Emulator, and it is the only supported way to run Hanbot. It costs more than a single-PC script and takes more setting up. If you have the hardware, it is worth a look; if you do not, start with a script that runs on one PC.
